Welcome to FIXBIN.ORG

FixBin is the brandnew tool for you to do floating-point math with Java 2 Micro Edition (J2ME)! Unlike other libraries, this is OPENSOURCE!

This site is currently under construction. However, you can already download Version 0.6 of FixBin!

03-Jan-2006 Version 0.6
Thanks to Mark Ashworth (see credits section) for fixing a bug in the formatting method that sometimes rounded negative values incorrectly.

28-Aug-2004 Version 0.5 now with 3D
This version of FixBin now comes with some 3D objects that allow rendering of 3D objects!

17-Aug-2004 Version 0.4 available
A new version of FixBin has been released today. The new version features two new methods quickmul and quickdiv for quickly multiplying or dividing two values (non overflow-safe).
Also changed were the arcsin/arctan methods, which now are much more accurate. Thanks to Petr Kuhlheim for his suggestions!

As a result of Petr's changes, you will find the binaries to be smaller than the previous version, as some "helper" functions could be removed.

Enjoy FixBin 0.4!

29-Nov-2003 Version 0.3 now available
Today the new version 0.3 has been released. This version now features new trigonometric methods (cot, arcsin, arccos, arctan, arccot) and has been released in two versions. The "big" version which is Instantiable and the lite version which only comes with the static methods.

Additionally, some steps have been taken to reduce the size of the class/jar file.

29-Nov-2003 New website design
Thanks to Tony Frenzel from IDK Design, FixBin now has a logo. We have also changed the design of the rest of the site to better match the colours.
